Founded by former employees of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, FORMIC has set itself the goal of simplifying the transport of heavy and bulky loads.

To achieve this, FORMIC builds swarms of compact vehicles that can collectively lift and move a wide variety of loads in formation. The development of the remote-controlled vehicles began in 2020 as a spin-off of KIT.

In addition to expanding its product portfolio, FORMIC is working to bring automated formation driving to market maturity.
